She came to Italy to visit his father, a former surgeon and scholar of the ancient Etruscans, who is living in Tuscany since 20 years. It ‘s the first time that Jenny comes back, she wants to visit all the places told by his father, in particular the Lake of the Idols, a remarkable archaeological site on which bottom have been found numerous Etruscan statuettes in bronze dating back more 3000 years ago. A large number of these seems to represent human figures or equal human organs or anatomical thrown into the lake during mysterious rituals.
But, neglected by his father engaged in his work, Jenny comes into contact with some children placed in a foster home. Jenny becomes their friend and spend time with them. One evening, the children decide to take Jenny to the lake, here, in a magical atmosphere, Jenny assists at the appearance of the souls of three Etruscans children.
The souls ask her to recover three bronze statues stolen from the lake long ago. Jenny realizes that his father has the statuettes kept in his studio, always locked.
Jenny penetrate her father’s study and recover the remains only to discover the terrible secret kept there …
NEVERLAKE
Jenny ha sedici anni e vive a New York. E’ nata in Italia ma è andata a vivere negli Stati Uniti, dalla nonna, a due anni, quando sua madre morì.
È venuta in Italia a trovare il padre, ex chirurgo e studioso degli antichi Etruschi, che da venti anni vive in Toscana.
È la prima volta che Jenny torna e desidera visitare tutti i posti dei quali suo padre le ha parlato; in particolare il Lago degli Idoli. Si tratta di un rilevante sito archeologico sul cui fondo sono state rinvenute numerose statuette etrusche in bronzo risalenti a più di 3000 anni fa. Una gran parte di queste rappresentavano figure umane o parti anatomiche o organi umani gettati nel lago durante misteriosi rituali.
Ma, trascurata dal padre sempre impegnato nel suo lavoro, Jenny entra in contatto con alcuni bambini ospitati in una casa-famiglia. Jenny ne diventa amica e passa il tempo con loro. Una sera, i bambini decidono di portare Jenny al lago, qui, in una magica atmosfera, Jenny assiste all’apparizione delle anime di tre fanciulli etruschi. Le tre anime le chiedono di recuperare tre statuette in bronzo trafugate dal lago tempo prima. Jenny realizza che le statuette le ha il padre e che le tiene nel suo studio, sempre chiuso a chiave.
Jenny penetrerà nello studio del padre e recupererà i reperti ma solo per scoprire l’atroce segreto custodito lì dentro.
