Character animation

One of the most complex jobs of three-dimensional animation is maybe creating 3D characters. It requires creativity, technical competence and precision.

It begins with the creation of a digital model of which only the base lines are drawn, then modified and filled to make them three-dimensional. Then there is the creation of movement: it’s a tricky phase, also because it requires an analysis of how the characters move (or could move!) in reality. The final stage is the texture: colours, shades and everything that confers character on the figure.

Here at Direct2Brain the creation of each character is an adventure lived through by the group. We start with an idea, which passing through the hands of each, takes shape until the creation of a new friend is accomplished.
